About Mario Struik

Mario Struik joined TRC Advocaten in 2009. Prior to this, he worked as a jurist for a number of large (insurance) companies for 15 years, giving him valuable practical (debt collection) experience, but also extensive experience (of legal proceedings) in the field of tenancy law and private construction law.

Mario acts both for and against (professional) landlords and lessors. He advises and assists his clients in a contractual sense.

Where his work in relation to private construction law is concerned, Mario primarily acts for contractors; here too, in an advisory and contractual sense.

Besides tenancy law and (private) construction law, criminal law in particular soon became Mario's area of special interest, so much so that he chose to specialise in this field too.

Although a large part of Mario's criminal law practice still involves general criminal cases (including property offences, violent offences and Opium Act offences), he is particularly interested in economic criminal law (including - to keep it brief - any offence that has been made punishable under the Economic Offences Act (Wet op de Economische Delicten) and he is now becoming more and more active in this area too.

Mario forms part of the construction and property practice group and the criminal law practice group at TRC Advocaten.
