Child support

Child support

Child support is a contribution to the costs of raising and caring for minor children, which must be paid to the parent where the child has its primary residence after divorce or breakup of cohabitation. It is intended to meet the needs of the children to the extent that the child support obligated parents' ability to pay allows.

Young adult children (18 to 21 years old) also usually need contributions from their parent(s), especially if the children are studying.

The calculation of need and ability to pay is customized and often complicated, especially if one of the parties is an entrepreneur or if there is a composite family. Moreover, changed circumstances may require a recalculation of alimony.

We can help you with that. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Our attorneys have extensive experience in making alimony calculations, advising on alimony and litigating about alimony. We use the same guidelines as the court and can therefore make a good estimate of your chances in advance.
